The Columbian Squires is the official youth division of The Knights of Columbus. We are a local non-profit Catholic group of young men (10-18 years) who help our two parishes and their communities. While helping people and strengthening the local community, Squires receive leadership training and spiritual and moral guidance needed to succeed. The Columbian Squires is an athletic team, a youth and social group, a cultural and civic improvement association, a management training program and a spiritual awareness course, all in one. As of January 1st 2006, there are 25,242 Columbian Squires in 1388 Circles throughout U.S.A., Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and many other countries where Knights of Columbus Councils exist. |
We are a Circle of about 30 members from Pickering and Ajax and are always glad to welcome in more! If you are interested, feel free to contact us. Some of the things that Squires help with are pasta bingos, food drives, pollution clean-up, local charities, charity car washes, assisting the elderly and more. We also have a lot of fun and meet new friends. Our two Parishes are St. Isaac Jogues and Holy Redeemer.
